Resolved Question: How many of the 50 U.S. states can you name?

Off the top of your head, list as many of the States of the United States of America as you can. You may spend as long on this as you like, but the time you devote to this will likely be restricted by some of the following guidelines for your response: -Do not use external assistance, including research; music, objects, texts and other sources of ‘inspiration’ should not be used. -Do this in one place in one sitting. -Give two scores: -The number of States you listed (spelling is not important so long as you had the right idea) -The over score, but with the number of incorrect items in your list subtracted -Explain what informed your response. -List the places you have lived for any significant amount of time. -Separate the items in your list into the following three sections, in the same order: -Places you know are States -Places you think are States -Any other guesses -Once you’ve finished your initial list, list the following, if applicable: -States you missed -Your incorrect items from the initial list -Try to maintain the order you thought of each list item in your final listing. -Time yourself -You must know the most common abbreviated official name of any States you list. (For example, you would receive a point for listing ‘Cali’ so long as you knew that it was more commonly known as ‘California’, but would not need to know that its full official name is ‘State of California’.) -Please provide any other relevant and useful information you wish to volunteer. You are now ready to start. Finished? Resolved Question: Do cops look for stolen items on Craigslist?

This morning my husband's car and every of his co-workers' cars were broken into. They stole several of his power tools, some hand tools, and my birthday presents. The presents were still in the original bags with the original receipts with them, he had paid cash for them. He called the stores where he bought them to give them a heads up since it would be easy for the thief to just return the items for cash. But the tools... I know stolen tools often go on Craigslist or end up in pawn shops. I know that there is a team here in Albuquerque that works with pawn shops to identify and retrieve stolen items. But I'm wondering, do cops look on Craiglist for stolen items? Should I post something on craigslist warning people of the items that were stolen? Or should I give someone a chance list the stolen items and just check craigslist a few times a day so that maybe the cops could arrange to meet the person and catch them? I know the chance of seeing this stuff again is slim but I just want to be proactive and do whatever I can to catch this guy. Also, a family tragedy ruined my birthday last year and I'm not glad about not getting a birthday again this year either, I'm not a bad person :( Any advise on what I can/should do or shouldn't do to catch this guy?

Resolved Question: McCain will be testing other countries if he is elected?

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Sen. John McCain on Saturday said he would "test" foe countries when elected president, trying to turn Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr.'s gaffe against the Democratic ticket. "I'm going to test them, they're not going to test me," Mr. McCain told a crowd in Albuquerque. http://washingtontimes.com/news/2008/oct/25/mccain-says-hell-test-foreign-enemies-not-vice-ver/ Is this really such a good idea right now? Is this what Americans want? Doesn't he know they are watching this election right now and will look this as a direct threat possibly causing more hurt to us? Your thoughts? itzazoo- Confrontation is one thing, trying to start trouble for no reason is not a good idea. It is the McCain supporters that demonstrate fear, not us. Plain and simple this was a stupid thing to say and is not best for the welfare of this country to start crap like this.

This is much more hilarious though!: The crowd disparity on display : Via Playbook, a brutal side-by-side yesterday in New Mexico: Crowd for Senator Obama in Albuquerque, N.M., last night: 35,000 inside the venue and another 10,000-15,000 outside. Crowd for Senator McCain in Albuquerque, N.M., yesterday: 1,400 according to the McCain campaign, 1,000 or less according to reporters. Hahaha! hilarious. No one takes that maverick serious anymore.

Open Question: Ex and Non Jehovah's Witnesses Only, Does Anyone Know Why The WT "Society" Does Not Call Itself "The Way"?

I am excluding JWs from this question because so many of them receive on here to battle. This goes especially for the champ. In every my years I have never heard that the WTs has ever referred itself to "The Way" like 1st century disciples refered to their belief system. The Bible also refers to 1st century disciples as Christians. I called my mom back in Albuquerque and she told me she never has heard it either. She did remind me of how some refer to brothers as "The Friends" and how the society calls the organization the "Truth". How about you folks? Anyone recall the WBTS called "The Way"? Open Question: What's the best way to travel long distances with a cat?

We will be moving from Dallas to Albuquerque (10 hours in the car) at the end of the year. We have two kittens who will be 5 months and 6 months old at the time of the move. I've researched calming sprays and will most likely purchase one for the trip, since they hate car rides to start with. However, I'm a little unsure of how to transport them during the move. We have tiny carriers for them right now...big enough for them to fit in, but not a whole lot of room to really move around much. Will this be sufficient or should I look at getting a larger carrier to put them both in (they adore to cuddle), as well as a water bowl? What about litter? Any suggestions would be wonderful! Thanks in advance!

Resolved Question: Is this a good story?

Giving it an totally new meaning as lovely as the transition from winter to spring. What musical magic and from the shimmering heights of Manhattan-no less. As Gary stood in the crowd enjoying the music a lady in a yellow summer dress, with seductively bare shoulders, caught his eye, and stirred the glowing embers of romantic expectations. Gary moved next to her and ventured to say "Beautiful tune," as simple as that. And she turned her head saying, "Yes, it is.” And finding a man, unexpectedly, self-assured and friendly, was a pleasant surprise. They listened in silence until the tune was over then Gary said smiling "My name is Gary Herrera and yours?" Margaret said softly "Warm hands. Warm heart." Gary’s heart stood still, and he tipped his head inquisitively forward, looking up from behind a lock of hair on his forehead, and said with a mischievous Clark Gable grin said, “Does that mean that you’ll marry me.” They burst out in merry laughter, astonish to find adore at first sight-at long last. For a southwestern state that borders mexico... New Mexico...well, Albuquerque should be kicked in the ass for falling down on this one (c'mon... where is the good food?) southern california style

Resolved Question: Why are Out-of-State Obama staffers casting votes in New Mexico?

It looks like out-of-state volunteers and staffers are registering and casting ballots in the battleground state of New Mexico, too. One example is Shayne Adamski. He lives and works in Los Angeles, CA, is actively involved in politics and was a California delegate at the Democratic National Convention just 2 short months ago. Adamski is also a paid employee on the Obama campaign, and he traveled to New Mexico to help receive out the vote in this swing state. every of this is quite admirable. However, according to the Bernalillo County Clerk, Adamski registered to vote as a resident of Albuquerque on October 5. That's just 38 days after he was representing the state of California as a delegate on the final day of the Democratic National Convention. He also requested an absentee ballot. (We do not yet know if he cast a ballot, we are waiting to hear from the County Clerk.) http://www.palestra.net/blogs/read/18025
